I have this Defender in the garage right now. I am a little confused since the mechanic told me the head gasket was shot. The block test came up positive for exhaust gas in the coolant, so I kinda panicked. The thing is, before the test I ran a full flush using citric acid to clear some gunk. To double check, I pulled the heads and don't see any signs of failure.
Now I'm wondering... could residual acid from that flush skew the test? Are these block tester fluids sensitive to stuff like that?
