I recently bought a Defender 110 from 2014 which is currently stock and the first set of upgrades will be a lift kit and some nobly tires. While looking into this I read something about the springs popping off on modified Defenders. What's up with that? Will I need to get longer springs?

Either go with longer springs or add spring retainers (or both) to avoid this thing, retainers keep the springs in place when fully extended, and bump stops help prevent them from over compressing. So if you're lifting, definitely look into a properly matched spring/shock combo and consider retainers as cheap insurance
